george burns the poet

After founding a market research firm specializing in information on semiconductor factories (fabs), I began attending yearly Robert Bly poetry workshops in Asilomar, California and began writing poetry. My poetry and short stories has been published in such literary magazines as The Alaska Quarterly Review, The Comstock Review, Caesura and The Massachusetts Review. In 2004, my poem, "Partly Heliotropic", was the winner of the Robinson Jeffers Tor House Foundation Poetry Contest.

I retired almost ten years ago and am in the process of selecting poems for my first book of poems and writing a prose elegy to my dog Wasabi who died years ago.

This is a place for me to share my poetry. I hope you enjoy it. Please use the comments page here to let me know what you think about them.
